Take The Seven are a 5-piece alternative rock band with a distinctive style, sound and show. Based around Chesterfield, North Derbyshire and Sheffield, South Yorkshire, the band are working hard to write and record original material. They recorded their debut 7-track EP 'Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious' with Graeme Atkinson at the Vault Studio, Sheffield and mastered by Carl Bown (Fightstar, Trivium, Rise To Remain, While She Sleeps) of Treehouse Studios, Chesterfield. This can be heard on Facebook, iTunes, Amazon MP3, Myspace Music, Spotify and at www.taketheseven.com! They covered Adele's Set Fire To The Rain, offering a completely different take on a contemporary favourite and exposing the band to a far greater audience. If you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivwR5cwSYI. The resulting exposure led to features in Rock Sound Magazine and Kerrang! Magazine and has seen the band feature heavily on Alex Baker's Kerrang! Radio unsigned show. The band continue to play as many live shows as possible throughout the country and have been fortunate enough to share the stage with acts such as Senses Fail, Glamour Of The Kill, Failsafe, My Passion, Sonic Boom Six and InMe.
Founded in Sept 2012 and from Tunbridge Wells, Cities are Ryan Checksfield, Jack May, Andy Cuthbert and Jack Bowdery. They have played with the likes of Funeral For A Friend and Arcane Roots.
